Job Description:

The Data Specialist is responsible for managing, analyzing, and maintaining accurate and reliable data to support business operations, reporting, and decision-making. This role ensures data integrity, consistency, and security while working closely with cross-functional teams. The position operates in a fully remote environment and requires strong technical skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.

This position is strictly limited to candidates who currently reside in the United States and are legally authorized to work in the U.S. Applications from individuals residing outside the United States will be rejected.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, organize, and maintain data from multiple sources in compliance with company standards

  • Perform data validation, quality checks, and error correction to ensure accuracy

  • Develop and maintain databases, spreadsheets, and data management systems

  • Generate reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support business decision-making

  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify data needs and ensure timely delivery of information

  • Monitor data quality metrics and provide recommendations for improvements

  • Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and governance policies

  • Support ad-hoc data analysis and research projects

  • Document procedures, data definitions, and workflows to maintain consistency

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field

  • 2–5 years of experience in data management, data analysis, or data operations roles

  • Strong knowledge of databases, data management principles, and data quality best practices

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, SQL, and/or data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CRM systems, ERP platforms, or data management software

  • Knowledge of scripting or programming languages for data processing (Python, R, etc.)

  • Familiarity with data governance, compliance, and privacy regulations

  • Prior remote work experience in a data-focused role

Compensation

  • Annual Salary Range: $60,000 – $85,000 USD, depending on experience, skills, and geographic location
